Concrete driveway contractors in Flagler Beach: $225 in fees and an elevation survey
The city sits in Flagler County. Outside one small Volusia sliver of condo parcels at the south end, your rules come from the city and Flagler County. The city's Driveway Permit Checklist asks for a site plan or survey that shows NGVD elevations, the proposed finished floor elevation, spot elevations at the corners and along the side lines, lot coverage, a final grading plan, proposed fill in cubic yards and the surface type: rock, concrete or pavers. Pouring to match existing grade? Then the survey can be waived. Either way you bring proof of ownership and a Drainage Affidavit.
The fees: $75 for the application, $75 for review and $75 for inspection, $225 in all. The checklist also wants, before inspections, a certified Notice of Commencement recorded with the Flagler County Clerk in Bunnell. State lien law requires one on improvements over $2,500, and we walk you through recording it before the work starts. The city's Engineering division handles driveways, rights-of-way and flood zone questions. Ask that desk about your lot before you pay for a survey. Our driveway service page covers thickness, base and joints.
